Customer History and Comments in BEST POS (Retail)

Summary

This article shows how to view customer history (past invoices, totals, tenders) and how to add/edit comments on the customer record in BEST POS. It covers lookup, filters (date, number, amount), printing/export and privacy best practices.

Step-by-step Instructions

1) Prerequisites

  • Access rights to the customer record and its history.
  • The customer exists and is searchable (name, phone, number).

2) Open the customer record and history

  1. From the sales screen, press Customer > Search, filter (name/phone/number) and select the customer.
  2. In the profile, open the History tab or the Past invoices function linked to the customer.
  3. Check: the list shows previous sales (dates, numbers, totals).

3) Filter and view details

  • Date: choose a range (e.g., from 1st to 31st).
  • Invoice number: enter an exact number to locate a sale.
  • Amount / tender: filter by total or tender type when available.
  • Select a row and open the detail (items, taxes, tenders) or trigger a reprint if allowed.

4) Add or edit a customer comment

  1. In the record, open the Comments (or Notes) field.
  2. Enter a clear, useful note (e.g., preferences, service instructions). Avoid storing unnecessary sensitive data.
  3. Click Save. The comment becomes visible per access rights.
  4. Check: the note is displayed and can be referenced during sales.

5) Export / print (when available)

  • Use Print or Export from history to share the filtered list (reconciliation, audit).
  • Store output per your retention policy.
